The new organizational concept of the student union would like to integrate the teamies more in the future. This means for you that you have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and to implement your own suggestions. You will receive 4 Campus Credits for your work. 

Due to the new organizational structure, the individual teams have changed in their composition:

The Marketing & Campus Culture and the Innovation & Events teams each consist of a large team, which takes over all tasks of the department.

The ressorts HR & Clubs, Representation of Interests & Teaching and Finance & IT each consist of subteams.

Ressort Innovation & Events (voluntary) - Team

Ressort Marketing & Campusculture (voluntary) - Team

This department takes care of the improvement of the campus as well as the campus life for the students. This includes projects such as the Outdoor Gym, the Foodlab or activities such as the Healthy Days in the learning phase. On the other hand, this department is also responsible for the event concept of the SHSG and the organisation of these events.

The Marketing & Campus Culture department is responsible for the entire external communication of the student union. This includes the administration of the social media channels, project marketing, as well as the administration and coordination of the corporate identity and external appearances of the student union. The marketing team also takes care of the student union's external relations with the HSG Alumni and maintains international contacts between the SHSG and student unions from other countries.

Ressort Respresentation of Interests & Study (voluntary) - Subteams

The department of Representation of Student Interests & Teaching mediates between students and university departments in all areas directly related to their studies. It takes care of the students' needs and brings their concerns into the university's internal processes. In this context, the department is particularly dedicated to the topics of teaching and further development of the university and advocates sustainable design for the benefit of all students.

In addition, the Representation of Student Interests & Teaching deals with the further development and innovation of teaching, particularly in connection with the reforms of the different majors at the University of St. Gallen. The Board of Student Interests & Teaching contributes the students' point of view to the relevant committees and project steering committees.

Assessment Guide:

The Assessment Guide Program brings together students of the assessment year with guides from higher semesters in order to support the first semesters at the start of their studies at the HSG. As a member of the Assessment Guide Team, you will supervise the implementation of the program, the matching of guides and assessment students, and organize the events of the program.

Supplementary offers (Ergänzungsangebote):

This team takes care of the student union’s supplementary offers in areas that cannot be covered by the HSG. In recent years, for example, these have been online courses for Microsoft Excel or the SHSG Summer School. The team makes sure that these courses are expanded, differentiated and adapted to the students' wishes.

Evaluation Assessment:

Together with the students, the evaluation team evaluates qualitative and critical-constructive elements of the course and programme design and defines them. This. Basis for improvement measures. The assessment year is a central component of the studies at the University of St.Gallen. All HSG students go through it, which is why high quality teaching in the first two semesters is particularly important.

Learning Innovation:

The further development and innovation of teaching is a central concern of the student body at the University of St.Gallen. As a member of the team, you contribute to the development of formats and the establishment of platforms that contribute to the concretization of innovative teaching. Studies:

The members of the teaching team help you to initiate a dialogue about innovative, sustainable and successful teaching and to contribute valuable content to the vision. The team works closely with the students and tries to incorporate their interests into the dialogue.

Reform team:

The reform team develops concepts on how HSG courses in need of reform (e.g. BWL/Law) should look in the future and represents them to various stakeholders within the university. It works closely with the students as well as the responsible programme managers and professors.

Summer School:

The SHSG Summer School is the new lighthouse project of the student union to strengthen IT skills at the University of St.Gallen. After the first implementation of the program 2018 and 2019, the Summer School 2020 will now be carried out for the third time.

Student Quality Board:

The SQB deals with topics such as bidding, examination processing and the timetable and makes suggestions for improvement. The team is actively involved in the university's efforts to make administration leaner and more service-friendly.

Ressort Human Ressources & Clubs (voluntary) - Subteams

The HR department is responsible for the internal coordination of SHSG employees. This includes the organisation of events such as the Ski Weekend, the BBQ closing ceremony and the introductory weekend. In addition, the HR team takes care of maintaining relationships with other student unions within Switzerland, the SHSG Yearbook, team building in the teams and optimising HR management. The HR department also includes internal recruiting for the SHSG as well as recruiting for the Co-working Space and the relaxation-room.

HR Management:

As a member of the team for HR Management you organize all team events for the SHSG members. You are also responsible for the personal and administrative support of the members. A detailed job description can be found here.

Club coordination:

The club coordination team is the first point of contact for the clubs for all their concerns and questions. In this team you take care of the organisation of the club exchange, the club presentation and the club president meeting. But you also work actively to improve the life of the associations on campus and to implement the wishes of the associations.

theCO Business Building:

The theCO Business Building team is working on the further development and improvement of the coworking space. After more than a year since the opening, the CO has continued to develop as a lighthouse project for the SHSG. In this team, you will work on implementing the students' wishes, improving the community and further developing theCO's concept.

LINK

The LINK team takes care of improving the exchange and communication between master programs. It regularly organizes networking events and Get-Togheter's and thus promotes the exchange between the Master students at the HSG and strengthens the community.

Ressort IT & Finance (voluntary) - Subteams

The Finance & IT department is responsible for the administration of all the Student Union’s IT systems. For teamies, this primarily involves the implementation of new projects (in the past these were projects such as the Course Catalog), or the improvement and further development of the website. On the other hand, this department also looks after the acquisition of new sponsors and the improvement of existing sponsorship relationships. These include, among other things, the organization of the First-Semester package or project-related sponsoring.

IT Evolution:

The “IT Evolution” team works on the continuous improvement of the digital infrastructure of the SHSG. Furthermore, the team is in the lead in the continuous additions of digital services that the SHSG offers students.

The "IT Services" team is responsible for the maintenance and implementation of the SHSG IT projects. In close cooperation, it executes the plans and projects of the IT evaluation teams.
