prisma is the official magazine of students of the University of St. Gallen. It was first published in November 1959 and is therefore one of the most well-established media outlets in the university environment and amongst one of the oldest student clubs. With a current circulation of 3,500 copies the magazine is published three times a semester and is available throughout the university. Additionally, the current issue and a blog are also published on www.prisma-hsg.ch alongside a broad service platform for all students.
A dedicated prisma team and many freelance writers ensure the content offered to students is informative and entertaining. Topics are diverse and widespread. prisma is current, independent, critical and interactive. The articles range from simple to challenging.
Being part of the prisma team provides students a first experience into journalism, particularly in the areas of editing, design and photography. In addition to journalism, there is also a dedicated team responsible for sales and marketing. The magazine is popular with companies attempting to recruit from the university. Well-known personalities such as former CEO of UBS , Peter Wuffli or the Deputy Chief Editor of Tages-Anzeiger, Res Strehle, all gained their first leadership experience as chief editors at prisma.
