The Chairwoman for Assistance, together with a team of motivated students, is responsible for the implementation of a wide range projects in the sectors of service and interest representation. She oversees and advises partner firms in the domain of university marketing and organizes different events and seminars. As the only permanent employee in an annually changing team that comprises the Directorate, the Chairwoman for Assistance guarantees continuity and quality by transferring the necessary know-how and coaching fellow student colleagues.

Office-hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The President of the Students’ Union represents the entire student community before the University of St. Gallen, the public authorities and the general public. S/he is required to furnish the Students’ Parliament with information, to be held accountable before it, and embodies all representative functions of the Students’ Union. The President presides over the Directorate, coordinates all its members as well as individual departments and projects. Moreover, s/he is responsible for the strategic orientation of the Students’ Union.

Der Vize-Präsident fungiert als HR Oberverantwortlicher aller Projekte der SHSG und übernimmt die Gesamtverantwortung und Koordination der Kommunikation innerhalb des Vorstandes.

Der Vorstand Interessensvertretung übernimmt die Vermittlung zwischen den Studierenden und den universitären Stellen in allen Bereichen, die sich direkt auf das Studium beziehen. Er kümmert sich um die Bedürfnisse der Studierenden und bringt deren Anliegen in die universitäts-internen Prozesse ein. In diesem Zusammenhang widmet er sich besonders den Themen Lehre und Weiterentwicklung der Universität und tritt für eine nachhaltige Gestaltung im Sinne aller Studierenden ein.

Der Vorstand Kultur & Marketing fungiert als Enabler und übernimmt die Gesamtverantwortung der Kommunikations- und Marketingaktivitäten der SHSG. Das Enabling stellt eine Dienstleistung der Studentenschaft dar, um Ideen der Studierenden aufzugreifen, diese durch Know-How und gegebenenfalls auch finanziell zu unterstützen und zum Erfolg zu führen. Dazu gehört dieses Jahr auch die Durchführung eines Projektwettbewerbs. Ein zentraler Punkt im Bereich Kultur ist ausserdem die Zusammenarbeit und Betreuung der Vereinslandschaft der Universität St. Gallen. So kann der Bereich Kultur in verschiedensten Partnerschaftsprojekten Unterstützung bieten, um gemeinsame Interessen und Ziele wahrzunehmen.

Das Ressort IT & Campus betreut die Infrastruktur der SHSG, ist in der Prozessüberwachung und -optimierung tätig und hilft bei der technischen Umsetzung von Projekten. Der Vorstand IT & Campus begleitet die IT-Projekte welche die Studenten direkt betreffen. Des Weiteren übernimmt dieses Ressort die Aufgaben des Ressorts Campus und beschäftigt sich daher mit den Rahmenbedingungen des Studiums wie beispielsweise Campus, Campusbar und die IT der Universität.

Der Vorstand Finanz ist verantwortlich für die finanzielle Führung der Studentenschaft. Dieser Aufgabenbereich beinhaltet unter Anderem das interne Controlling, das Rechnungs- und Mahnungswesen, die Wahl einer geeigneten Investitionsstrategie sowie die Vorbereitung des Jahresabschlusses. Eine weitere Tätigkeit ist die Koordination wichtiger Sponsoringaktivitäten. So betreut er die Jahrgangspartnerschaften und sorgt für eine organisationsübergreifende Abstimmung der Sponsoringstrategie. Ausserdem steht er sämtlichen Projekten und Initiativen der Studentenschaft beratend zur Seite und unterstützt sie im finanziellen Bereich.

Der Präsident der Studentenschaft vertritt alle Studierenden gegenüber der Universität St.Gallen, Behörden und der Öffentlichkeit. Er erfüllt seine Rechenschafts- und Informationspflichten gegenüber dem Studentenparlament und übernimmt sämtliche repräsentative Aufgaben. Innerhalb der Organisation führt er den Vorsitz im Vorstand und koordiniert den Gesamtvorstand und die einzelnen Ressorts. Zudem ist er für die strategische Ausrichtung der Studentenschaft sowie für die operative und finanzielle Personalführung verantwortlich.

Die Aufgaben des Vorstandes Kultur & HR gliedert sich in die zwei Bereiche Projekte und Personalwesen. Die Projekte stellen Dienstleistungen der Studentenschaft dar, welche einem grossen Teil von Studierenden der HSG zugute kommen. Die Vielfalt des Angebotes reicht von Jazz an der Uni, bei welchem eine Gruppe von Studenten regelmässig Jazz Konzerte organisiert, bis hin zu internationalen Austauschprojekten wie beispielsweise Magellan. Ein zentraler Punkt im Bereich Kultur ist zudem die Zusammenarbeit und Betreuung der Vereinslandschaft der Universität St. Gallen. In verschiedensten Partnerschaftsprojekten können gemeinsame Interessen wahrgenommen werden, und neue Ziele angestrebt werden. Demgegenüber dient der Bereich HR zur Stärkung der internen Kultur und der Betreuung der Teams. Diese Doppelfunktion machen den Vorstand Kultur & HR äusserst spannend und abwechslungsreich, wobei eine grosse Anzahl an Studierenden davon profitieren kann.

Der Vorstand Finanz ist verantwortlich für die finanzielle Führung der Studentenschaft. Die Assistenz ist zusammen mit einem Team von motivierten und initiativen Studierenden für die professionelle Umsetzung diverser Projekte im Bereich Dienstleistung und Interessensvertretung verantwortlich. Zudem betreut und berät sie unsere Partnerfirmen im Bereich Universitätsmarketing und organisiert verschiedene Events und Seminare. Als einzige Festangestellte übernimmt sie in einem jährlich wechselnden Team die Konstante in den Bereichen Wissenssicherung, Knowhow-Transfer sowie Coaching der studentischen Mitarbeitenden und garantiert dadurch Kontinuität und Qualitätssicherung.
